14. The Goat (1921)

This was the first Buster Keaton film I've ever seen. Won't be the last.
As with Jack Pickford, I have spent hours looking at photographs of this actor but when I saw him in action, that's when it all opened up for me.
That man could move like no one else ! He was like the wildest cartoon character on speed.

I could watch this bit all day long.

right before the best trick.

Directed by Mr Keaton himself, with Malcolm St. Clair

  1. My #1 favorite performer ever. Poetry in motion, to use a cliched phrase. :P Ever seen "College"? All of his athletic ability is on display.

  2. I'm ashamed to admit that this remains as the only Keaton film that I've watched so far.
But I'll put College on my "to watch" list.
Thank you for the recommendation, I appreciate it.
